The Bridal Suite is a very important part of your wedding day. Think about it, this is the place where you’re most likely going to spend several hours on the day of your wedding. It’s the place where you and your bridesmaids are going to get ready and most importantly, this is where you’re going to step into that dream dress while your photographers capture the amazing moment!
We’re here to tell you that there are some really bad Bridal suites out there. If you’re getting married in a church, there is probably a space that they let their brides get ready in. Most of the time, this space is the basement with no windows, no offense church bridal room, but we like to avoid you if we can. We get it, you’re thinking you’ll wait to put your dress on until you get to the church for fear of wrinkles, but we promise you, you’ll be so happy you put that dress on in a beautiful room when you look back at your pictures. It’s not just churches, even some hotel rooms don’t make the cut. We just ask that during the planning process you think about this. Does your Bridal Suite have natural light? Is the space big enough for you and your girls? We’re not saying you’re bridal suite has to be perfect and match your wedding, but this is one of those little details that makes a huge difference.
Take Laura and Vinny for example, they did it right. They hopped on Airbnb and rented an amazing Bridal Suite for their wedding day. The space was awesome! Look at this beautiful light! The exposed brick and white walls let Laura shine! No distractions, all beauty.
Another great example is Kelsey’s beautiful bridal suite at Brookside Country Club. They’re bridal suite is neutral and filled with light. Gorgeous!
So, when you’re looking at venue’s, ask to see their Bridal Suite. Make sure you’re ok with the space. If not, you now know what to do.
